FAQ’s

 

1. Is there parking?

Yes we have a large carpark which is free when using the centre. There is also an option to park for the day £3.00 or overnight £10.00.

All car park money goes towards helping the running costs of the community run swimming pool and keeping the pool open.

 

 

2. Is the swimming pool open to the public or members only?

The swimming pool is open to ALL.  Local residents and visitors are all welcome at the centre.

3. Do I need to go in with my child?

All children under 8 years all must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  We have a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children at the centre. If both children are under 5 years old, both children must wear armbands.

4. Do you do private pool hire?

Yes, we offer a range of pool hire options.  This includes Pool only, Pool and Inflatable, Pool and Food etc. If you would like more information please give us a call on 01766780576 or email manager@harlechardudwyleisure.org.uk

5. How much is it for a locker?

Lockers are 50p with a 50p refundable deposit. This is payable at the reception desk.

6. Do you have a family changing room?

Unfortunately due to the age of the building we are unable to offer family changing facilities.  Male and Female changing rooms are separate, however both have baby changing facilities and a play pen.

7. Is there disabled access to the swimming pool?

At the moment we have not got a disabled hoist for the swimming pool, this is something we are working to rectify and hope to have a new system in place in the near future.  Please keep an eye on our Swimming Pool section of the website for updates

8. Do you offer OAP discounts?

We offer over 60’s swimming sessions every Tuesday throughout school terms at a discounted rate of £4.00

9. Do you offer family tickets?

Not at the moment.

10. Are you council run?

No, we are a community not for profit enterprise. With a volunteer board of directors and a small team of staff working to keep the swimming pool open for the local community, schools and visitors. We heavily rely on donations, sponsorships and grants to keep running.  We also rely heavily on volunteers to assist with the maintenance of the centre and are grateful for all the help we can get.

11. How do we volunteer?

Volunteers are asked to fill out the Volunteer Form, this will allow us to look at what you would like to volunteer with, whether it is hands on work at the centre or helping in the background. All volunteers are gratefully appreciated.  If you would like to volunteer, please visit our volunteer page and complete the form.

12. Do you accept card payment?

Yes both cash and card payments are accepted at the centre. We have minimum payment of £4.00 on all card transactions and cash only for lockers.

13. Do the opening hours change in the season?

Yes, our timetables change between School Terms and Holiday periods. All timetable updates are released on our website, social media and hard copies available at the centre.

14. Can you walk to the castle if we park in the car park?

Yes, there is an easy walk up to the castle and high street from our car park. Roughly 5-10 mins walk up hill.

15. Do you have toilet waste facilities?

We do not offer any waste disposal service at the centre, anyone caught will be reported and will not be allowed to return.

16. Is our climbing wall open?

Not at the moment, the ceiling of the entrance hall into the bouldering and climbing wall has collapsed and the whole area has been condemned.
